Germany’s largest automobile company BMW today launched the electric Mini Cooper SE in India on 24 February 2022 for Rs 47.20 lakh (ex-showroom).


Description:

BMW first launched the BMW iX in the Indian market and after that, the Mini Cooper SE is the company’s second electric car in India. The Mini Cooper SE car is a 3-door 100% electric hatchback car.
The Mini Cooper SE electric car was launched by the company worldwide in 2019. It is the cheapest luxury electric car in India at this price point. BMW did the facelift of this electric car in May 2021 and the company has brought the same model to India from the CBU channel. The company has given a standard warranty of 2 years or unlimited km on this electric car.
The company has brought this electric car to India from the Completely Built-Up (CBU) channel. According to BMW, 30 such electric cars have already been sold in November 2021. The deliveries of these cars will start from March 2022 and the reservation for the new batch will start soon.
This BMW electric car is available in 4 colors – White Silver, Midnight Black, Moonwalk Gray, and British Racing Green. In the exterior of this car, the company has given a shut-off front grille, round shaped LED headlamps, rectangular LED tail lamps, sporty front bumper, contrast yellow accents on the wheels, etc.
The interiors of the electric car include a 5.5-inch digital instrument console, toggle switch on the center console, yellow headlights, 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system (which is compatible with Apple’s CarPlay and Android Auto). Apart from these, the electric car also gets a panoramic glass roof, Nappa leather steering wheel, tire pressure monitoring system, and Harman Kardon audio.
In the Mini Cooper SE electric car, the company has given a 32.6 kWh lithium-ion battery, which is located under the passenger seat. The motor of this car generates power of 184 hp and torque of 270 Nm. This hatchback car can go from 0 to 100 kmph in just 7.3 seconds and has a top speed of 150 kmph. The car is available in 4 driving modes – Mid, Sport, Green, and Green+.
This electric car from BMW can go up to 270 km on a single charge. The car can be charged up to 80% in just 36 minutes from a 50 kW charging point. In this, the company has also given an 11 kW Wallbox charger which can charge it up to 80% in two and a half hours.
